My name is Joya and I’m a visual artist based in Cork, Ireland.

I am fascinated with expression through the human form and the tactile and sensual way our bodies can occupy space. Exploring physicality, intimacy, discomfort and relationship through bodily shapes and gestures.

My work is often rooted in the rhythms and cycles of nature and the presence of the body within those cycles, using compositions and colours to invoke a sense of connection, joy and ease.
